J.D. currently concentrates his practice on property tax foreclosures, commercial real estate matters (including title search and review), and estate administration. He has been licensed in North Carolina since 1999 and has spent his entire 20-plus year career with Ruff, Bond, Cobb, Wade & Bethune, LLP. Over the course of his practice, J.D. has engaged in general litigation matters, estate planning and administration, various aspects of municipal law, residential real estate, and several other fields. He is a graduate of Davidson College (B.A., 1996) and the University of North Carolina School of Law (J.D., 1999). J.D. serves on the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte, has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Friends of Accion, Inc. (supporting Accion Ministries), was Treasurer of the Mecklenburg Optimist Club for over a decade, and is an active congregant and Elder of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.
